UK Work Permit Conditions

To obtain a Work Permit in the UK one must generally have at least two years working experience in the country of origin working within the specialised field in question. The candidate must also be educated to degree standard in that field and the job itself must be advertised throughout the European Union so as to indicate that the position cannot be filled by anyone within the European Union. The Job Trust is experienced in providing this service including the processing of advertisements.

Advertising throughout the European Union as described above is also necessary where employees are more experienced and have at least five years work experience at a senior level or, alternatively, where the candidate in question has specialist skills.

The whole process takes on average two months to process and, normally, will allow the holder to stay four years in the UK. At this time the holder will be able to apply for Residency and / or Indefinite Leave to Remain.

The Work Permit is specific to the sponsoring employer. Accordingly, if the holder wishes to leave their employment they will have to seek a new Work Permit on changing employers.
